Universal 360° focuses on the 7 Wellness dimensions

Physical Wellness

Maintaining healthy habits includes tackling daily tasks without undue fatigue or physical stress. Our behaviours have a significant impact on our wellness. It stands to reason that by developing good habits such as regular exercise, a balanced diet, getting enough sleep and avoiding destructive habits, such as smoking and substance abuse, will lead to optimal wellness.

Psychosocial Wellness

Simply put, this includes your social, emotional, mental/intellectual and spiritual wellness.

Social Wellness

Social Wellness refers to our ability to relate to and connect with others on a daily basis. Establishing and maintaining healthy relationships with family, friends and co-workers contributes to social wellness.

Emotional Wellness

Emotional wellness implies the understanding of your emotions and the ability to cope with the challenges of life. This includes being able to acknowledge and share feelings of love, anger, joy, fear, sadness, hope and happiness in a productive manner.

Mental/intellectual Wellness

Mental/intellectual wellness best describes a personal desire to learn new concepts, improve one’s skills and seek challenges in pursuit of lifelong learning. Using your creativity to develop new ideas that can be applied to personal decisions, group interaction and community betterment also impact mental wellness.

Spiritual Wellness

Spiritual wellness gives meaning and direction to our lives. It allows us to develop congruency between values and actions and to realise a common purpose that binds everyone.

Occupational Wellness

This means finding personal fulfilment in one’s workplace or chosen career while maintaining a balance in other, personal aspects of life. The desire to make a positive contribution in the workplace in terms of leadership, skills transfer or overall contribution to a team, an organisation or society as a whole, leads to occupational wellness.

Environmental Wellness

This means recognising our responsibilities and making a positive impact through conscious living on the quality of our environment, be it at home, work at a community level or by contributing to the overall improvement of the planet. It involves spending time in nature while embarking on activities such as hiking, fishing, picnicking in the park and generally just enjoying the natural surroundings.
