Unlock Opportunities with the YES Programme and Learnerships

Universal has taken significant strides in creating employment opportunities for youth through the Learnership and YES (Youth Employment Service) Programmes. These initiatives offer fixed-term contracts followed by potential absorption into the workforce. Our aim is to cultivate skill development within the formal economy, providing an entry point for graduates and matriculated youth. Since its inception in 2013, our programmes have collectively empowered around 275 young individuals.

This achievement showcases Universal’s dedication and unwavering support, as we fund these initiatives independently, without relying on external stakeholders like SETAs or the YES 4 Youth initiative. To date, our investment, which covers stipends, salaries, registration fees, and learning programme costs, amounts to over R33 million.
