A company that is passionate about innovation and technology, and that provides access to quality healthcare and wellness solutions for both covered and uncovered individuals with a personalised approach. The Journey to Innovation

From humble beginnings as a small administration and managed care company for a few medical schemes, Universal has evolved into a multinational corporation with 16 subsidiaries worldwide. In the heart of Silicon Valley, Universal.one, Inc. – our innovation hub is driving the development of cutting-edge healthcare and wellness technology. At the forefront of the digital transformation in healthcare, we aim to develop these advancements internationally and serve our clients in South Africa.

Pioneering in Challenging Times

Our innovation hub proved its value during the COVID-19 pandemic and introduced a revolutionary healthcare ecosystem developed within a multi-sided IT platform. With our flagship product, uVax.one™, we secured a major healthcare contract at federal level in the United States, while uConsult.one™ launched an innovative virtual care and telehealth solution initially in South Africa and now also in the US. We are eagerly anticipating the upcoming launch of uWellness.one™, the latest addition to our portfolio.
